Woody Invasive Control MC-IRIS/Northfork of Monroe Lake Weed Wrangle
Join us from 1 to 5 pm (or as much of that time as you want) on Sunday, February 18 for a Northfork Weed Wrangle at Monroe Lake. We’ll be cutting and painting invasive shrubs that have taken over this important bird habitat. Cutting tools will be provided but bring your own if you like. Weed Wrangle and Wildflower Watch
Amy Weingartner Branigin Peninsula Preserve
1:00-3:30 pm on Friday, April 26th

Volunteer to join Sycamore Land Trust for this fun and educational opportunity to learn how to identify and control invasive plants that negatively impact our natural areas and green spaces. The focus for this work day will be the identification and control of garlic mustard at the Amy Weingartner Branigin Peninsula Preserve. As we work, we will enjoy the colorful wildflower display and unrivaled views over Lake Monroe.
This is a 2 1/2-hour off-trail MODERATE to RUGGED activity. Wear clothes appropriate for working outside including long pants, long sleeves, and sturdy shoes or boots with good traction. Work gloves and other materials will be provided. Attendance is limited to 20 people; registration is required by [enter registration deadline and url here]. Meeting Location: Paynetown SRA, Main Office (parking lot behind building) - caravan/carpool to preserve
